This year marks 50 years since Alexander Mckee and Project Solent Ships began the search for the Mary Rose , and to celebrate we’ll be holding our Anniversary Lectures on 10th October 2015, the day before the anniversary of the Mary Rose’s raising in 1982.
UPDATE: Booking is now closed for this event, you will not be admitted unless you have already booked.
We have an excellent array of speakers who will cover all aspects of the story of the Mary Rose, including memories of the early years from Binky Hallett (daughter of the late Alexander Mckee), Maurice Young and Sally Roberts, through to Robert Lavery on the ship structure and even a look over the tenure of our outgoing Chief Executive, Rear Admiral John Lippiett.
The day will end with the unveiling of a bust of Margaret Rule, who died earlier in the year.
