The Monitoring of Shipwreck Sites (MoSS)
This is an EU sponsored project involving teams from Denmark, Finland, The Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and with the Mary Rose representing the UK. The objective is to look at ways of preserving and making accessible our shared underwater cultural heritage.

Fiskerton Log Boat
During works to improve the flood defences of Lincoln the Environment Agency discovered an Iron Age log boat. The boat, believed to be originally a funeral offering, is being conserved in our laboratories and will be prepared for display. It was the subject of a BBC "Meet the Ancestors" special in 2002.

Cleaning the Gormanston Log BoatGormanston Log Boat
In September 2002 MRAS received a 4.2 metre section of a log boat discovered in June during work on a subsea gas pipeline off County Meath, Eire. MRAS is to conserve the boat and prepare it for display in Ireland.

HMS Victory
The fore topsail is reputed to be the sole authenticated and surviving relic from the ship at the Battle of Trafalgar. MRAS is working with the Textile Conservation Centre, Southampton to clean and prepare the sail for display in 2005 to mark the 200th anniversary of the battle.
