Following more than three years of construction to rehouse King Henry VIII’s flagship, the new Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard will open its doors to the public on the 31 May, bringing with it a new and exciting chapter for Trademark Clothing in Petersfield.

Trademark has previously been proud to supply the existing Mary Rose Gift Shop. However to coincide with the opening of the new museum, Trademark will now also be the official uniform supplier.

The new uniform consisting of embroidered shirts, blouses, trousers, skirts, jumpers and jackets ensures a professional and consistent uniform for all the staff and volunteers.

Jim Griffiths MD of Trademark Clothing says “we are delighted to be chosen as the official uniform supplier for the new Mary Rose Museum. We are proud of our growing relationship with the Trust and thrilled to have been selected to supply the new uniform at such an exciting time for the Mary Rose”.

The Mary Rose Trust’s Head of Operations, Paul Griffiths, says ” We are delighted to be working with TM Clothing at the Mary Rose Museum, on some fabulous new products for us such as our cuddly version of the Mary Rose dog ‘Hatch’ and the rats he was on board to catch. The in house design team at TM have also been working with us on some original designs for retail products taking inspiration from the new museum, which we are really excited to be able to offer our guests. TM has been extremely generous in both sponsoring and supplying the new uniform for the new Mary Rose museum. This will ensure that when we open to the public on 31st May we not only have a world class museum, but our staff will look world class also.”

Trademark Clothing & Gifts has been established in Petersfield since 1999. Located on Ramshill (Opposite Churchers College) their production studio, offices and showroom offer new & existing customers the opportunity to visit, discuss staff wear and retail merchandise requirements and view an extensive display of corporate wear, personalised clothing, gifts and much more.

TM Clothing is proud to be a supplier to some of the UK’s most prestigious businesses, to include The Goodwood Estate, Brittany Ferries and Newbury Building Society.

Many of us can remember watching the Mary Rose being raised from the seabed on television 30 years ago. In 2008 the Mary Rose Trust launched an appeal to raise £35 million to build a new museum that would reunite Henry VIII’s flagship, the Mary Rose, with the 19,000 artefacts brought up from the seabed of the Solent.
