From chatting to museum guests to donning a costume and acting out a part, our volunteers play an essential role in bringing the Mary Rose to life. It’s a great way to get to know even more about the Mary Rose, and you’ll learn new skills too. You could even help us give educational workshops or presentations to local groups or schools.

How to find us

Portsmouth is just off the A3. When you enter the city, follow the signs for ‘Historic Dockyard’. There’s plenty of parking close by.

Trains run from London Waterloo, Cardiff, Bristol, Southampton, Chichester and Brighton to Portsmouth Harbour station. The station is five minutes walk away.

There are regular coaches from London Victoria.
