At least one member of the crew of the Mary Rose seems to have taken care of his personal hygiene and appearance.

In a chest outside the carpenter's cabin the archaeologists found what looks like a "grooming kit."

There was the bone manicure set, a comb and a mirror. He also owned one of the only two razors found outside the barber-surgeon's cabin, a whetstone to sharpen it, and what looks like a shaving brush handle.
