There
are several different accounts as to why the Mary Rose sank, and we will
be looking at these in October.
This will give you a chance to see if you can decide which story is nearest
the truth.
The French fleet eventually withdrew from the Solent, after unsuccessfully
invading the Isle of Wight.
Although Henry tried to have the Mary Rose salvaged, she lay on the bottom
of the sea until 1982, when she was raised by the Mary Rose Trust. |
