Outreach for Schools

2. Meet the Crew

Schools have the opportunity to invite costumed staff from the Mary Rose to their school. Visits can be tailored according to the size of the group and to meet your needs. An introductory PowerPoint presentation sets the scene followed by a roundabout of hands-on activities including a large selection of replica artefacts to handle, dressing up and Tudor crafts. Topics include Life on Board the Mary Rose and the Tudor Home.

The cost of ‘Meet the Crew’ will vary depending on the programme (half or whole day/number of staff), although we aim to keep charges reasonable. Travel expenses and overnight accommodation (if applicable) will be payable. You may wish to share the cost with another local school. We cater for primary, secondary and special schools.

For further enquiries or to make a booking please contact Trevor Sapey on 02392 812931.
