Find out about the Mary Rose as a tourist destination. Our focus is customer service and access in the broadest sense. Practical sessions in the museum and ship hall enable students to gain an insight into the contrasting experiences of different audiences, including visitors with a variety of special needs. Students work in small groups to gather and record evidence. They present their findings to the whole group for a discussion led by the Mary Rose team. The session is a useful case study on a unique institution. It also raises key current issues which are applicable across the heritage sector.

Students can use special glasses which simulate various visual impairments to tour the museum and consider the experience from the point of view of someone with visual impairment.
