The Mary Rose Trust was delighted to welcome members of the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce to the new Mary Rose Museum, for a preview of the facilities at the new museum.
Chamber members enjoyed a talk on the building of the new museum from Head of Operations Paul Griffiths, before enjoying a sneak preview tour of the museum which has started to take shape, Jane Nash (Events Manager, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce) said:
“The opportunity to see behind the scenes and hear about the challenges of delivering a project of this scale were inspiring and attendees were excited about the thought of returning when the museum opens to the public. Networking afternoon tea and a welcome glass of wine on return was taken in the pristine, contemporary look café with amazing views overlooking HMS Victory and the working Naval Base. The Chamber would like to thank the Mary Rose Trust and staff for making us so welcome & providing this unique experience for our members.”
The museum is due to open late spring. If you are interested in booking an event in the new museum please contact: Becky Ashton via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
