The Mary Rose Trust receives no revenue funding from government – neither national nor local. As with most heritage organisations we earn our living as a visitor attraction. But to cover all our annual costs, maintain the ship, collection and Museum, and develop new educational, community and interpretation projects we need to look beyond our daily visitors.
We are hugely grateful to the grantmakers and generous patrons and donors who support the Mary Rose. Your grants and donations ensure we can protect the Mary Rose – now and in the future.
Whether it’s helping with family workshops, assisting our education team with schools or answering questions for visitors, we have a wide range of roles available.
Join our lively Patrons’ group and enjoy finding out more about the Mary Rose Trust.
Make a single donation of any size. From the smallest to the largest gift, each one helps the Mary Rose.
Commemorate a loved one, celebrate your love of Tudor history or simply help to fund our work for future generations, with an inscription on the outside of the Mary Rose Museum.
Donations in wills to the Mary Rose Trust provide vital financial support for the Museum. Without these donations, we would not be able to continue our work.
The Mary Rose Trust Flag Officer Club is the means by which we formally recognise the contributions of major donors.
Sign up for EasyFundraising and every time you buy something from a number of online retailers, a donation is made to the Mary Rose Trust, at no extra cost to you!
Thank you to all the grantmakers who have helped the Mary Rose’s journey since she was raised from the sea bed and brought back to shore in Portsmouth in 1982.
