Opposite
this display is a video microscope. See at close quarters many of
the bugs which attack wet and dry wood.
The case opposite contains a glittering array of pewter plates, flagons and flasks, probably personal possessions of the officers. All of the gold coins found on the ship are on display in this case as well. The case shows who on board owned such valuable piecesMoving along, the exhibits on both sides of the aisle deal with food and drink.

On the left hand side is the galley case. This houses some of the bricks used to build the galley, as well as fuel logs, some of the tools found in the area, and both of the large copper cauldrons used to prepare the food for the crew. One was very badly crushed when the ship sank. Can you spot the terracotta tile with the dog's paw print?
