The Mary Rose is unique – a Tudor warship ‘frozen in time’ along with her artefacts and the remains of her crew. This unique ship has already divulged an extraordinary amount of treasures and artefacts that have added greatly to the nation’s knowledge of Tudor times.
Yet she still has so much more to tell us. To date, we have only been able to display a small fraction (6%) of the fascinating objects found below her decks. With support, we could make more artefacts available to visitors, schoolchildren and students too.
We also have another urgent reason for your help. The Mary Rose is still extremely vulnerable, and we can only preserve her by using a state-of-the-art technique to finish drying the hull. This delicate process costs thousands of pounds – all of which has to be raised from our supporters. With your help, we can make sure this glorious ship can be preserved for the future, alongside her artefacts in an innovative museum.
Help us tell the story of the Mary Rose in a way you've never seen before: Become a Friend of the Mary Rose today and enjoy a FREE annual pass to the new museum as well as a whole host of other benefits.
