Image requests

The images in this gallery are previews of free images which are available for use by members of the press, so long as the images are credited to The Mary Rose Trust. Should you wish to use any of these images, please contact Sally Tyrrell with your request.

The Mary Rose Trust holds an archive of images relating to the archaeological excavations and raising of the Mary Rose, conservation of the ship, artefacts found on board and internal and external images of the Museum itself. These images may be used for commercial purposes such as publications, articles, TV and broadcasting and personal research but only with permission from the Mary Rose Trust.

Please send any image request to [email protected], answering these questions:

  • What is the medium the media will be used in?
  • What is the size of the print run?
  • What is the intended distribution?
  • Will the publication be available digitally? If yes, where?

Please note that a permission fee may be requested, where the cost will be dependent on the intended usage and type of image.

Filming and other media

We welcome enquiries from anyone who would like to film in our museum or other buildings for a particular project. When making an enquiry, please try to detail what you wish to achieve so we can advise on the buildings and staff that you may wish to include in your production.

We have previously hosted radio shows in the Museum and are happy to discuss any future enquiries.  We are also able to arrange interviews for podcasts, radio or other digital forms of communication.
