Introduction
Learning is at the heart of the Mary Rose Trust. We welcome learners of all ages. All our activities are based on the Mary Rose and her unique collection of Tudor artefacts. We believe learning should be challenging but fun. Hands-on activities and practical experience are central to all our programmes. We focus on Tudor History, Maritime Archaeology and Science relating to the ship and the on-going conservation programme.
Our learning provision includes:
Schools – Discovery Visits and Workshops for KS1-4 based on history and science are available everyday in term time
Post-16 and AS/A2 – Tudor History, Archaeology, Applied Science and Leisure and Tourism study days
Undergraduates/postgraduates– Conservation Science, Tudor History and Museum Studies/Heritage study days
Work-related learning – vocational courses, work experience placements and information on jobs in museums
Special provision and resources for visitors with learning difficulties and other special needs
