● A programme of activities and talks to engage people of all ages and abilities both in the museum and at other venues across the region
● A wealth of replica artefacts and other resources for hands-on learning
● Special events in conjunction with our partners
Schools and Colleges Open or Close
From now until December 2015, we will be open for business as usual. If you can, book your museum visit and workshops before we close in December 2015! Just get in touch to discuss the possibilities.
30th November 2015 – Summer 2016 Important Information
If you are planning a visit to the Mary Rose Museum between 30th November 2015 and Summer 2016, please be aware that it will be entering a period of closure in order for the next chapter in her long and remarkable history to commence. Phase 2 of the Mary Rose Museum build will greatly improve the visitor experience by providing uninterrupted views of the ship from walkways as well as from the end galleries at all three levels. The Mary Rose Museum may be closed but the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Learning Centre is still very much open for business! There will be a small display of original artefacts and replicas for handling alongside a new 10 minute film on the project.
During this period there are three options for education visitors:
Option 1: Mary Rose & HMS Warrior activity days £8 per pupil
Compare and contrast two ships spanning over 300 years of history
Option 2: Special Mary Rose activity days fully led by the Learning Team £8 per pupil
A wealth of real and replica artefacts, clothes and activities in the classroom and laboratory to engage pupils with the Mary Rose story
Option 3: One Mary Rose workshop + one other attraction £6.50 per pupil
Combine a taught activity session with a self-guided visit to another attraction
